R&R Construction was awarded in December of 2020, National Safety Award Winners under the category of Specialty Trade Contractor Safety Program of the Year (More than 50 employees). Acknowledged for a “Safety Award for Excellence” signifies that NAHB accepts R&R’s leadership and commitment to implement construction safety.

The purpose of NAHB’s SAFE awards program is to recognize the achievements of a strong safety culture in the workplace. This award represents single and multi-family builders, remodelers, safety institutes, specialty trade contractors, and building associations in construction. R&R Construction is the only company located in Florida to hold a title for NAHB’s National Safety Award.

Richard & Rice Construction exemplifies the importance of teamwork. If there is a safety issue that arises on the job site, R&R employees work together to correct it and help educate each other to work in a safe manner. Harold Murry, R&R’s Safety Director, holds weekly OSHA practices reviewing and educating new topics to help decrease accidents. R&R prioritizes the completion of a 30-hour OSHA certification. The focus of R&R Construction operations hinges around maintaining a safe and clean job site 24/7. Their safety director supervises all projects to secure that all job-sites are OSHA compliant.
